Aims of the conference
Issues to be discussed:
The subject matter of this conference will be focused on:
– the factors driving transformations in industry and services,
– the processes and trends of changes in industry and services,
– the spatial differentiation of industrial and service developments,
– the role of innovation in industry and services,
– the challenges related to methodology and methods in the geography of industry and services.
Objectives:
The economy, in various spatial arrangements, is undergoing significant transformations due to multiple evolving determinants that affect different types of spatial arrangements. Among these determinants, we can distinguish internal and external determinants, depending on the environment of a particular area. Additionally, the operation of economic entities is influenced by these determinants and the transformations occurring within the economy.
In light of these trends, the objective of the 41st International Scientific Conference will be to present the diversity of contemporary determinants of transformations in industry and services, both in Poland and worldwide, in different spatial arrangements. In addition, we will demonstrate current research findings regarding the processes of transformations in industry and services, as well as explore directions for their future development, including the effects of implementing innovation into industry and services. Taking into account the changes in the economy and the observed transformations, the conference will address the challenges related to methodology and methods in the geography of industry and services.
Key features of the conference will include speeches by specially invited guests, paper and poster sessions, and a panel discussion with the participation of scientists, entrepreneurs and representatives of local authorities.
We kindly invite to take part in the Conference in particular:
- scientists and lecturers, both foreign and domestic, who are interested in the problems of industry and services;
- the graduate and post-graduate students of geography, economy, technology, who could be interested in the Conference theme;
- representatives of the state and municipal authorities, the special economic zones managerial staff, as well as all of the persons who are responsible for the industrial policy and for the investment activities;
- geography, enterprise, and economy teachers as well as their advisors;
- entrepreneurs and other economic life participants and all persons who could be interested in the Conference theme.
